Frequently asked questions
Practical information
Which animals do you treat?
We care for dogs and cats, from puppies and kittens to senior pets. For other animals, please call us and we will advise you.
Which languages do you speak?
Our team welcomes you in French, English, German, Luxembourgish, Spanish or Dutch.
How do I book an appointment?
Consultations are by appointment only. You can book online at any time, or call us on +352 28 790 790 during opening hours.
Is there parking at the practice?
Yes, free parking is available right outside the practice at 62A Grand-Rue in Roeser.
Do you have separate waiting areas for cats and dogs?
Yes. Our practice has separate lounges for cats and dogs, so that nervous animals can wait more calmly.
Prevention and regular care
How often should my pet see a veterinarian?
Puppies and kittens need to see the veterinarian every few weeks for their series of booster vaccinations, and to discuss how best to care for them while they grow. Adult dogs and cats should see a veterinarian once a year for their vaccinations or a general check-up. From around 9 or 10 years of age, when health issues become more likely, we also recommend a yearly blood test.
When should I bring my puppy or kitten for a first visit?
Ideally soon after your puppy or kitten arrives home. At this first consultation we carry out a full health check, set up a vaccination schedule, and advise you on parasite prevention, identification (microchip and pet passport), nutrition and the first months together. Please bring any documents from the breeder or shelter:
- the vaccination record
- the forms showing the microchip number and date of implantation
- any information about the mother’s medical history
Can you prepare my pet for travel abroad?
Yes, we offer pet export consultations. Please contact us well in advance, as some destinations require specific tests or waiting periods.
Diagnostics, surgery and specialist care
What diagnostic tests can you do at the practice?
Urgent blood tests are carried out in our in-house laboratory, often with results during the visit. Other blood tests are sent to an external laboratory, with results usually within two days. We also offer X-rays, dental X-rays, ultrasound scans and microscopy on site.
Can my pet have surgery at the practice?
Yes. We perform neutering and spaying, as well as general, orthopaedic, dental and jaw surgery on site. During every procedure under general anaesthesia, your pet’s heart is monitored continuously, and a dedicated veterinary assistant watches over your pet from start to finish.
Do you refer to specialists when needed?
Yes. Knowing our limits is part of good care: when a case calls for it, including complex orthopaedic cases, we refer patients to specialists so they receive the most appropriate treatment.
Emergencies
What should I do in an emergency outside opening hours?
